The University of Buea is a liberal arts college. The Bachelor degree programs are three (3) years long

The University of Buea also has a graduate program of studies, awarding Masters and Doctoral PhD degrees in select fields of knowledge.

Although a pure and sole Anglosaxon university in Cameroon, (unlike other state-owned Cameroonian universities), the University of Buea has s massive francophone student population.

With the youths of Cameroon looking forward to better lives in the United States of America, an english based education seems to be a better time and monetary investment to many francophone students than attending the many other French based Cameroonian Universities

Many view the University of Buea as Cameroon's finest University and a symbol of the future of Cameroon Education.
