Please in a situation where one has never had a passport but wishes to make one but there is a problem where that person made her national identity card but there was an error let's say instead of her date of birth which is 25th March it was mistaken and written 18th March and has been using it like that so the problem is on her birth certificate we have 25th March but on her identity card it's 18th March would that be a big problem how Dore the person go about this

This shouldn't be a problem at all. During your passport production, you will be required to provide your birth certicate and other authenticating documents. This will bear the correct date of birth as your birth certicate.

You may actually be asked to obtain a new National ID so all relevant records match.

Just give yourself enough time to get all these done. It could go as fast a week or less OR take years. Start the process early on.

Unfortunately, Paul Biya and his regime has made that beautiful country a hell to live in. A country where nothing is accounted for. To make a simple passport is a problem.

Nothing is easy, except corruption. All the money has been stolen and stored in foreign banks. Paul Biya has no respect for the men and women of Cameroon. Lets hope he dies soon for someone else to help us.

I search your frustration but no one can help Cameroon but Cameroonians.

The problem goes beyond Biya, its in our heads, the way we view ourselves, the way we view life and how irresponsible we are.

As an individual you can certainly take your life into your own hands and take responsiblility for it. No one can take that from you.

Many of the success stories of Cameroonians are those who lost a parent very early in life or were born into untold poverty and decided that wasn't their destiny. That doesn't have to be your history for you to success. But you get my massage:

Hey!
I want to renew my passport expired since last year! I am afraid I have a huge complication to do so. I am a full-time student in the U.S. what should I do?

Easiest way is to travel to Cameroon and renew it there. Takes just a week or less.

However, if you are F1 student you may need to go to US embassy for a re-entry F1 visa, wish is uncertain.

The Cameroon embassy in US is horrible. Many have lost jobs and other opportunity because of the uncaring and unprofessionalism of this embassy. Its a complete waste of tax payer fund.

Go to the nearest police station an inquire. Its very easy these days than it was a few years back. All the best.
